Dola login: sign in, reset password, fix errors

This guide covers signing in to Dola AI, the AI assistant for Unreal Engine at dolaai.pro, on the website and in the Dola desktop app. One account covers both. If you were trying to sign in to ByteDance’s Dola chat app, that is a separate service with its own accounts; a Dola AI account will not sign you in there, and the steps below will not help with it.

1. Open dolaai.pro/login (the Sign in button in the site header goes there too).
2. Enter your email and password and choose Log in, or choose Log in with Google, which opens a Google pop-up window.
3. You land on your dashboard, or back on the page that sent you to sign in. The dashboard shows your waitlist position or, once you have access, links to Releases, your subscription, payments, and profile.

On dolaai.pro/signup enter your full name, email, and a password of at least eight characters (typed twice), or use Join with Google. Creating the account is free and puts you on the waitlist. Email sign-ups get a verification email — verify it, then sign in to see your place in the queue. Access rolls out in waves; when the list is full the form closes and says so, and anyone who already joined can still sign in.

The desktop app signs you in through your browser, so it never needs your password or a pasted API key:

1. In the app, open the account page and choose Continue in browser.
2. Dola opens dolaai.pro in your default browser. Sign in there; if you are already signed in, it carries on by itself.
3. The browser hands you back to the app (through a dola://auth/callback link). The app shows Waiting for browser… until the hand-off finishes.

The app waits up to ten minutes. If it times out, choose Continue in browser again. If you would rather not use the browser, the account page also has Email log in with its own “Forgot your password?” link. The same page lists the devices signed in to your account, and you can remove one you no longer use.

The account unlocks projects, knowledge, search, settings, and releases in the app. If you have not installed it yet, start with the Dola app download guide.

1. On the login page, type your email address in the Email field first.
2. Click Forgot your password? next to the password label. You should see “Password reset email sent. Check your inbox.”
3. Open the email, follow the link, choose a new password, and sign in with it.

If you see “Enter your email first, then click forgot password.”, the Email field was empty. If the email does not arrive, check spam and make sure you used the address you signed up with. Accounts created with Google sign in with Log in with Google instead of a password.

• auth/invalid-credential (wrong email or password). Check the address for typos, use the method you signed up with (password or Google), or reset your password.
• auth/too-many-requests. Too many attempts in a row. Wait a few minutes, or reset your password.
• Google window closes or never opens (auth/popup-blocked, auth/popup-closed-by-user). Allow pop-ups for dolaai.pro and finish the Google window before closing it.
• auth/email-already-in-use when signing up. You already have an account. Sign in instead, or reset the password.
• “The waitlist is full.” Sign-ups are closed for now. Existing accounts can still sign in.
• “Invalid or missing sign-in state. Return to Dola and try again.” The browser link from the app was stale or incomplete. Start again from Continue in browser in the app rather than reopening an old tab.
• The app keeps waiting for the browser. Finish signing in in the browser window the app opened. If you closed it, start the hand-off again from the app.
• “Sign-in is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later.” The problem is on our side. Try again shortly.
• Signed in, but chat replies fail. A 401- or 402-style model error usually means the session or your credit allotment, not your password. Sign out and back in, then check your plan and credits. If you use your own API key (Settings → Model → Override provider), check that key with your provider instead: Dola credits do not apply to it.

Only enter your Dola AI password on dolaai.pro. Dola never asks you to paste a password or an API key into chat, and the desktop app never needs one for sign-in. Use Log out on shared machines, and remove old devices from the app’s account page.
