Dola AI credits and limits: free with your own API key, or monthly credits on Indie, Pro, Pro+, or Max, plus extra packs and what happens at the limit.

Use your own API key (free)
Dola is free to use with an API key from your own model provider. Requests then go from the app to that provider, you pay the provider directly, and no Dola plan or credits are needed. Supported providers: Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Groq, xAI, Mistral, Cerebras, or a custom / local endpoint.
- Sign in to the Dola desktop app with your free Dola account.
- Open Settings and go to the Model section.
- Turn on Override provider.
- Pick a Provider, set the Model as provider/model (for example anthropic/claude-sonnet-4-6), and paste your API key. A custom or local endpoint also takes a Base URL.
- Choose Save. The key is stored on this device.
Turn Override provider off to go back to Dola-hosted models, which run on the credits below.
Monthly lineup
Paid plans add Dola-hosted models, so you need no API key of your own. Plans differ by included credit amount, not by a separate feature list. The public lineup:

How credits behave
- Included credits grant after payment succeeds.
- Unused included credits reset on renewal.
- Extra (purchased) credits persist until used and stack on leftovers.
- Cancel in the billing portal. This period's included credits stay until used.
Dola-hosted model calls go through dolaai.pro to the configured provider. Usage totals enforce the included allotment and extras. See the privacy policy for what stays local versus what the inference proxy forwards.
