Checkpoints and rollback
Save a named checkpoint of your project files, see what changed since, including Blueprint diffs, and roll back what Dola wrote.
Last updated 10 October 2026
Status: Live
When to use it
Use it before large or risky changes, and whenever a result is not what you wanted.
Example prompts
Type requests like these in the Dola chat:
- Create a checkpoint called before-inventory.
- Show me what changed since the last checkpoint, then roll it back.
What you need
- The Dola desktop app, signed in, with your Unreal project attached
Safety notes
- A rollback reverts what Dola changed through the editor and lists what it kept, such as your own edits. The rollback itself can be undone.
- Source files Dola edited are kept by a rollback; revert them in the app's Changes panel (Ctrl+E).
