Blueprint editing
Blueprint work happens in the open editor, not by guessing at asset files. Dola reads the graph, makes the change, lays it out, compiles, and saves, then tells you what it did so you can check it.

Tools in this category
- Inspect Blueprint graphsLiveReads the nodes, pins, and connections in a Blueprint graph so Dola understands the current logic before it changes anything.
- Find Blueprint nodesLiveSearches the nodes you can place in a graph, including engine and project functions, so the right node is used instead of a guess.
- Add and wire nodesLivePlaces new nodes in a Blueprint graph and connects their pins, building logic such as events, branches, timers, and function calls.
- Update node propertiesLiveChanges values on existing nodes, such as default pin values, referenced assets, or node settings, without rebuilding the graph.
- Remove nodes and linksLiveDeletes nodes or disconnects pins in a Blueprint graph to clean up debug logic or rework behavior you no longer need.
- Variables and defaultsLiveAdds Blueprint variables or changes their default values, categories, and whether they are editable per instance or on spawn.
- Compile BlueprintsLiveCompiles a Blueprint after changes and explains any errors or warnings in plain language so they can be fixed in the same chat.
- Save Blueprint assetsLiveSaves changed Blueprints to disk so edits persist and show up in source control and for the rest of your team.
- Auto-layout graphsLiveTidies node positions in a Blueprint graph so new and existing logic stays readable instead of stacked or overlapping.
- Components, meshes, and physicsLiveAdds components to a Blueprint, such as meshes, collision, lights, audio, and movement, and sets their properties including physics.
What you need
- The Dola desktop app, signed in, with your Unreal project attached
- Unreal Editor open on that project with the Dola plugin enabled (current builds: UE 5.7)
Safety notes
- Edits are made in the open editor, then the Blueprint is compiled and saved so you can review the result straight away.
- Create a checkpoint before large changes so you can roll back what Dola wrote.
